The 5th Islamic Solidarity Games will be held on August 09-19, 2022 in Konya, Republic of Turkey. 

About 3,500 athletes from about 54 countries are expected to take part in the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games.

Athletes will compete in 23 sports, including athletics, archery, basketball 3x3, bocce, football, cycling (track, road), fencing, gymnastics (artistic, rhythmic, aerobic), handball, judo, karate, kickboxing, shooting, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, weightlifting, and wrestling (freestyle and Greco-Roman). 

Para-sports competitions will also be held at the Games, namely para-athletics, para-table tennis, para-swimming, and para-archery. Traditional archery will be included as a demo sport at the Games. 
The national teams of Turkmenistan will take part in the Games competing in athletics, archery, basketball 3x3, cycling (track, road), fencing, gymnastics (rhythmic), judo, karate, kickboxing, swimming, weightlifting, wrestling (freestyle and Greco-Roman) and traditional archery.
